Another feature of the city, is that it acts as a gateway to other parts of the state. Arrive in Darjeeling
Arrive to Jalpaiguri/Silliguri/ Bagdogra. Our representative will be there to get you as well as proceed to Darjeeling. Arrive and check-into a hotel. Rest day at leisure. Evening free to wander around mall or local shopping center. Dinner and night stay at Darjeeling hotel.
Darjeeling Local Sight Seeing
Early morning at 4:00 AM depart for a guided drive to the Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of Permit / Token from the respective authority) . After breakfast check out the popular Ghoom Monastery as well as Batasia Loop. Later visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Himalayan Zoo, Japanese Temple, Rock Garden, Gangamaiya Park as well as the Tibetan Handicraft Center, enroute you will have an amazing view of the Darjeeling Tea Gardens. Those who are interested to visit botanical garden can go their very own. Back to hotel, night free to walk around the area. Dinner and night stay at Darjeeling hotel.
Tour to Mirik (Full Day)
After morning breakfast drive to Mirik nearly 60 kilometers/ 1 ½ – 2 hrs drive – the drive is through scenic roads with periodic interruption for digital photography – Mirik is focused round Samendu Lake and is known for its designed gardens, tea gardens, orange orchards, cardamom groves and also stunning sights of the Himalayan varieties – full day adventure of Mirik lake (horse riding & boating facilities is offered around the lake – this high elevation lake is worth checking out – one can also visit Pashupati market in Nepal on the way back to Darjeeling. Transfer back to Darjeeling, dinner and night stay at Darjeeling hotel.
Darjeeling - Kalimpong Sight Seeing
Have a healthy and balanced breakfast and afterwards get ready for complete day sightseeing tour of kalimpong. Go to the flower market with a large range of orchids. It is a historical destinations with busy market, vivid individuals and also offers spectacular sights of the Himalayan range – drive for sightseeing excursion through picturesque roadway to forest museum, Delo hill, Hanuman Mandir, Dr Graham Homes, Durbin Monastery, Mangaldham, pine view nurseries. Also see the Buddhist monasteries that house numerous Tibetan Buddhist Bibles. Get back to hotel for dinner as well as all night stay at Darjeeling hotel.
Departure
Have a healthy morning meal. Check out from the hotel as well as proceed to Bagdogra airport or new jalpaiguri train terminal for your onward journey with wonderful memories of eastern Himalaya.
